These actuators must be delivered with the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) that receives the inputs from the CAN bus of the vehicule and commands accordingly the actuators. Manual operation of the liftgate is also possible if the customer prefers to close or open the liftgate by hand. Electrical movement can be interrupted by the customer : in that case, the system can hold the lifgate in position. To protect the customer against pinch issues, the system can recognize electronically a pinch state.
