Datasheet of AM 400 Mat Material description: Thermaley activated fexible resin mat, mineral-filled. Perforated mat with one-sided, self-adhesive protective cover. The mat hardens at a temperature above 150°C through the activation of stored hardener substance within 30 minutes to a thermoset reinforcing element. Density: About 1,8 g/cm³ Basis weight: Max. 4,5 kg/m² Liability: Uncured mat 15 N/3 cm width Cured mat only destructively removable Hardness: About 90 shore A Flammability: Meets the requirements of MVSS 302 Temperatur resistance Long-carrying capacity up to 160°C, of the cured mat: Short time up to 190°C Processing: Stick to dry, dust- and oil-free surfaces. The mat should have at least a temperature of 20°C before sticking Curing conditions: Min. 30 minutes at 150°C Max. 20 minutes at 190°C The resulting vapor during curing has to be extracted (sucked) by appropriate devices. To avoid an unpleasant odor, the extraction should be maintained during the cooling phase. -1- Datasheet of AM 400 Mat Storage ability of Max. 3 month frost free at max. 30°C in dry environment. the uncured film: Use open packaging immediately Characteristics: AM 400 mats are used for reinforcing (deflection) sheet metal constructions for example in body parts of cars. The mats have excellent acoustic capabilities and take away the own typical sound of the metal plate. The excellent physical sound-damping characteristic is maintained even at high temperatures. The deflection of a 0,75 mm thick, flat body plate, at a constant load is at least halved when using the mats. A similar stiffening effect would also be reached by doubling the modulus of elasticity of the used metal sheet or a metal sheet thickness increase by at least 25%. Where is it used? : AM 400 mats are used preferably for local stiffening of thinwalled sheet metal structures. The mats are used in the automotive area, for example in door lock depositings, the damping of the structure-borne sound in the door panels or as damping in major electronic devices.
