Buy Maintenance-Free Battery

We are using 3 ea of Varta 6-QW-70 (65D26R) in a Norsafe Lifeboat which built in 2012. However recently we noticed high CO concentration took place ( 70 ppm) in our lifeboat which later confirm comes from battery compartment (only happen on the continuous charged batteries). Portable Gas Detector we use is Dragger X-AM7000. Can you please advise me on this issue? Is there kind of this experience occured in other of your customer and how to solved this out?
